This week we began our Lenten Journey towards the Passion of Christ at Easter. Staff and students enjoyed a pancake treat on Shrove Tuesday in preparation for Ash Wednesday today.

Students reverently attend the Church for a liturgy reminding us that Lent is a time to reconcile with God and show our love and devotion to him through our interactions with others. Throughout Lent we are called to demonstrate self-control through fasting and a commitment to prayer, we can take this time to reflect on ways we as a community think more about our own ideas, the ideas of others and the messages given to us by Jesus through the Gospels. Students, staff and parishioners received ashes on our foreheads as we turn away from sin and proclaim our faith in God.
