Father’s Day Breakfast

We look forward to celebrating Father’s Day this Friday with breakfast from 8am. Thank you to our 5/6 families for organising and hosting this community event. Raffle tickets will be sold prior to Friday as well as Friday morning. The raffle prizes will be drawn at 8:30.

Open Classrooms

At 9am – 10am this Friday, families are welcome to visit their child’s classroom. The children are eager to show you how they have achieved MORE and how much they have grown.

NAPLAN

Our data leaders have analysed our NAPLAN reports and are pleased to share the following with you:

St Thomas More's Primary School continues to excel in academic achievement across key learning areas, demonstrating strong growth in the recent NAPLAN assessments.

Reading Results Shine: Our reading scores reflect significant progress, with 80% of students performing at a strong or exceeding level. This highlights the successful integration of our phonics and direct instruction approaches in our classrooms.

Numeracy Strengths: In numeracy, 81% of students are performing at or above strong levels. These results highlight the effectiveness of our Numeracy programs and the commitment of our teachers to delivering quality, differentiated instruction.

Writing and Spelling Success: In writing, 81% of students are meeting or exceeding expectations. Our students are consistently developing strong writing skills, thanks to targeted writing programs and continuous feedback. Similarly, in spelling, 75% of students show proficiency, with 31% excelling.

We continue to look more closely at individual results as well and provide opportunities for growth in the necessary areas.

Archdiocesan Assembly Invitation

Please see the invitation attached to attend the Archdiocesan Assembly on October 18 from Archbishop Christopher Prowse. Our allocated Hub is St Clare’s College Griffith. Your attendance and contributions are highly valued. It would be great to see representation there from our school and Parish community.

Wishing all fathers, father figures and families a Happy Father’s Day this Sunday.
