Principal's News

Colour Run and Mission Fete

It was a fantastic day on Friday for our annual Mission Fete and Colour Run. The courtyard was covered in books, toys and games during the middle session as the students busily shopped for their next treasures. Then in the afternoon our hall became a buzz of excitement for the grand prize draw and finally, we headed to the oval for the fun of the colour run. Our fundraising efforts in these spaces saw the school raise $396.00 for the Mission Fete and $3,3564 towards bubblers in our Colour Run.

Staffing News

We are pleased to announce that Carly Sargent has been appointed as a classroom teacher from 2025. Carly comes to use with over 15 years experience teaching in NSW and ACT schools. We know that she will be an asset to our community.

Council Nominations - Executive and Events Working Party

We are continuing to seek nominations for representatives on the Community Council Executive from 2025. In addition to this, the council are interested in forming an Events Working Party. The Events Working Party will be a group of parents who support the successful coordination of events within the school year including liaising with school staff and parent contact coordinators and evaluating the events, feeding back potential adjustments to these events in future years. We are proud of our strong community and see this working party as an opportunity to grow stronger in 2025. If you are interested in either of these roles or would like to nominate a member of the community please contact myself or Michael Kelly.

60th Anniversary of St Thomas More's Parish

Thank you to all of our families, Community Council members and staff in attendance who celebrated our parish's 60th Anniversary. It was so wonderful to see our school community turn out to celebrate with parishioners. We would particularly like to thank Skye McPadden for her coordination leading up to the event as a member of the Parish Pastoral Council and in coordinating the school run BBQ. A gallery of photos are included in our REC Skye McPadden's report.
