Religious Education
Classroom teachers held individual Centred in Faith Gatherings today in their classrooms as we are unable presently to gather together for a whole school mass. The K-2 classes reflected on the story of Zacchaeus. Jesus reached out to Zacchaeus with love. This impressed Zacchaeus so much that he felt sorry for taking other people’s money. He decided to change his life and pay back all the money that he had stolen. Jesus wants us to come to him and feel his love. He asks us to remember to love God and to love those around usOur older students in years 3-6 reflected on the season of Lent as being a time of renewal. A time to ‘have a clean-out’ , a time to get rid of the attitudes and patterns of behaviour that prevent us from being as free as God made us to be. We can all be hoarders of one kind or another. We can store up anger and resentments and fears that we no longer need. Lent is a time to give these away.
