School Chaplain/Mini Vinnies

At our last Mini Vinnies meeting on Friday, 4 May (Week 1) we ‘wrapped up’ our letters of petition to Cadbury requesting they make Easter Eggs with Fairtrade chocolate in 2019 as well as using Fairtrade chocolate in all of their range of chocolate bars. The letters have been posted and we hope to hear back from Cadbury.

Our next meeting will be held this Friday, 18 May where we will plan for our next focus and also the Winter Clothing Appeal which we will be at the end of this term.

Seasons for Growth

Seasons for Growth is an educational program for children which explores the effects of change, loss and grief and specifically develops skills in communication, decision making and problem solving. Seasons for Growth is based on the belief that change and loss are part of life, and grief is a normal response to these losses. The program aims to teach ways of understanding and coping skills that children and young people can apply to any change and loss experience in their lives.

Nomination forms have been returned and the response allows for the program to proceed. A note with details of the program will be sent home to by the end of Week 4.
