Next week is Legacy Week 28th- 3rd Sept. This year marks 100 years of Legacy. Established in Melbourne in 1923, Legacy supports veterans families and recognises the sacrifice they make. The badge of Legacy is a torch and a wreath of laurel. Did you know: the torch signifies the undying flame of service and sacrifice of those who gave their lives for their country. The wreath of laurel is the symbol of our remembrance of them. Today during lunch some students made melamine plates and clocks to fundraise for Legacy.

On Monday, the Legacy torch relay will pass through Campbell so, if you are out and about you may be able to witness this event. The school is planning to gather at the northern end of the oval on Vasey Cres to see an exchange of torchbearers at 11:22 am.

We will also be raising funds by selling badges, pens, wrist-bands and bears next week and on Friday morning when we celebrate our Father's Day breakfast, we will have a stall set up selling legacy items. If you are able, please support this great cause.
