St Thomas More Feast Day
Next Tuesday we will celebrate our St Thomas More Feast Day. On this day we remember that Thomas More, our Patron Saint, had the courage to love God and to put God first. His faith gave him the strength to be courageous in the way he lived his life ~ a life lived with truth, integrity and courage. We will begin with Mass at 9:30, families of students are welcome to join us. After recess, the students will participate in rotations run by Team Kids. The children will then be provided with a sausage sizzle lunch which will be cooked by our Year 3 and Year 4 parents. In the afternoon the winners of our 60th Birthday Art Competition will be announced.

Free Dress Day
Mini Vinnies are organising a Free Dress Day, which will be held on Friday the 25th of June. Please bring a gold coin donation, which we will be donating to the CEO Sleepout. The CEO Sleepout is organised by Vinnies and raises awareness for the many homeless people on the streets in Canberra, and what they are going through. The students will be allowed to wear whatever casual clothes they want, so long they are suitable for a Canberra winter’s day and their shoes are closed in, and their donations will be collected and sent to St Vincent de Paul.

These donations will go directly to people in need in our community or sold at Vinnies Centres so that funds are raised to offer other forms of assistance including, case management and assistance with utility bills.
By supporting the 2021 Vinnies Winter Appeal you are helping provide support to more than 40,000 people from the Canberra/Goulburn region who are currently living in poverty.
