St Thomas More's Feast Day
Next Wednesday 22 June we will celebrate St Thomas More's Feast Day. To start the day, Team Kids have organised a coffee van providing complimentary coffee in the carpark from 7:30 - 10:00 am. The children will begin the day by celebrating mass together followed by a special treat to eat at recess. During the middle session, we will engage in multi-age activity groups including each child contributing to the mural that Bohie is currently painting in the library courtyard. We are then inviting parents to join us for a picnic lunch at 1:00 pm so that you can also contribute to our mural. It is sure to be a wonderful day!
New Flag Poles
You may have noticed the front of our school evolving with the installation of three flagpoles on Friday last week. The 5/6 students were so excited to learn about raising the flags on our new poles and will be responsible for raising and lowering the flags each day. Thank you to Miss Tozer for coordinating the purchase of the poles and to Baily Kirk and his dad Anthony for providing us with the Australian Flags Protocols so that we can ensure the appropriate use and flying of our flags.
Catholic Education Tasmania Visit
We are delighted to announce that Catholic Education Tasmania were so impressed by our teaching and learning that they will be returning with a group of 13 leaders from their system. The group will visit the school on Monday 27 June. We are so proud to have the opportunity to highlight all that we are doing in our school.
WWVP Volunteer Card
We would like to remind parents that it is important to hold a WWVP volunteer card when volunteering at school. A WWVP volunteer card can be obtained from Access Canberra free of charge and means that you are able to volunteer for school events without the need to complete a statutory declaration form. Catholic Education has asked schools to minimise the use of statutory declarations in favour of volunteers holding a WWVP card.
Luke Donnelly
Principal
Our annual Athletics Carnival was held last Thursday 9th June. Despite the chilly weather, the students had a great time participating and competing in the various events. A big thank you to our parent volunteers, without you the day could not go ahead.

Congratulations to the following students who will be presented with a certificate which reflects an affirmation from their teacher. These affirmations will highlight their application to their learning as well as affirm how they have been a person of Wisdom, Courage or Peace.
Affirmations will be handed out at 8.50am on Friday Morning. Parents are very welcome to attend.
Book Club
Orders for this month close on Friday 16th June.
