Spring has Sprung at St Thomas More's
It is hard to believe we are publishing our final newsletter for the term and that spring is finally here. We started the term with uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 and the impacts this and the flu season may have on our students learning and community events. We are so pleased to say that there were minimal disruptions to student learning this term, we were able to have a few community events outside of school hours and our 5/6 students were able to attend camp. We are hopeful that COVID-19 measures articulated by Catholic Education in the coming weeks will ensure we are given further opportunities to come together as a community.
Staffing News
I am pleased to announce that we have two new Defence School Mentors commencing at St Thomas More's in Term 4.
Mrs Savida Tanzer and Mrs Kate McErlean will be sharing the role and bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the positions.
Camp
Our 5/6 students had the best time at Camp in Stanwell Tops last week. We have already rebooked The Tops for 2023 and are looking at opportunities for our Year 6 students to engage in something different to their program this year. Here are some photos of the amazing activities we participate in.

Dance Display
Our annual Dance Display will be held on Wednesday 12th October at 6:00 pm. We have been learning our dances using a large area so the display will continue as scheduled in the courtyard. This will also be an opportunity for our parents and children to watch the School Choir have their first public performance to launch our new school song.
We have made the decision not to proceed with the BBQ before the display as the courtyard will need to be set up for the performance. We will ensure the children receive a special treat to have as they head home!
Coffee with TeamKids
Thank you to TeamKids for organising free coffee and breakfast this morning. It was a lovely opportunity to connect as a community. TeamKids run an engaging program for our students at St Thomas More's and offer care that is significantly cheaper than other providers. In addition to this, the school receives income for use of our space that is directly allocated to improved resources for our student's education. We love having TeamKids in our community and encourage all families to consider them for their childcare needs.
