2024 School Fees
2024 Student Leadership
On Tuesday next week from 2:00 pm we will gather in Holy Faith Hall to hear our Year 5 students who are aspiring to the role of School Captain read out a letter they have prepared outlining the aspirations they have as a captain in the school and the attributes they can bring to the role. The students in Years 3-6 and staff will then work together to decide who our School Captains for 2023 will be. Our Year 5 families are welcome to attend the speeches to support their children.

Do you know of a suitable applicant for our Grounds Maintenance Manager? The position, which is for 5 hours per week, closes this Sunday and can be accessed through the Catholic Education careers page.
We would like to congratulate Miss Emily Michell who has been successfully appointed to the role of Classroom Teacher at St Clare of Assisi Conder from next year. Be That Teacher
You may have seen the Be That Teacher campaign in the media at the moment promoting the value of the role of teachers in our society. Andrea McQuirk was selected as a teacher to highlight in this campaign and shared a beautiful letter written by one of the students at St Thomas More's! We are so lucky to have such wonderful teachers and students at our school. Here is the link to Andrea's feature:

Mini-Vinnies - Christmas Hampers
Christmas time is nearly here! This means that there will be people in our community who will require our assistance. This week marks the beginning of our annual collection of food items for the St Vincent De Paul Society Christmas Hampers.
These items will be presented to the St Vincent De Paul Society Volunteers at the end of term. I would encourage everyone use this opportunity to contribute as much as they can to help others who are less fortunate.
Each classroom has a basket for their allocated items to be collected. See poster for each classes allocated items.
Please bring all donations in by Wednesday 6th December.
If you have any questions, please send me an email.
Many Thanks,
Ariana Strmota

Last Friday we honoured Remembrance Day with a school service. Special thanks to Commander Kathryn Jones, RAN, for volunteering her time and all involved with reading, making poppies and bringing in pictures for our display. For Defence families and Veterans don't forget this weekend the Australian Catholic University Canberra campus in Watson is hosting the inaugural Veteran and families expo on Sat 25th from 1000h-1600h . This is a free event and gives you the opportunity to explore and gain understanding of local information supports and programs available.https://www.actrsl.org.au/veterans-and-family-expo
We thank all those who serve our country.
Jump Rope for Heart kicks off this term at St Thomas More’s!
Jump Rope for Heart is the Heart Foundation’s primary school skipping challenge that helps kids move more, have fun and raise funds for lifesaving research and programs.
This year we’ve got an audacious goal to see our student Heart Heroes at St Thomas More’s to log 15 hours of skipping throughout the program!
Register your child online, so they can receive the full benefits of the program and participate in online fundraising, simply follow the link below to get started. www.jumprope.org.au/parents
Students will be skipping as part of their physical education lessons and during lunch breaks, throughout this time you can share their online fundraising page with family and friends to help raise money for this great cause.
We will hold our school Jump Off Day Thursday the 14th of December, this will mark the end of the program and is a chance for everyone to come together to skip and show off their newly learned skills.
Thank you for supporting the Jump Rope for Heart program!
