Read-More-A-Thon- Calling all bookworms.
A Read-More-A-Thon fundraiser starts this weekend. Children will receive a reading log on Thursday to begin recording their reading. It runs for 3 weeks. We are seeking sponsors to donate money towards buying additional books for our classroom libraries . . . so we can read MORE! Please keep an eye out for the form in your child’s bag. Incentives will be given to those returning their completed log on Friday August 9th. A new log is provided each week. Donations can be made weekly to inspire your reader or at the end of the 3 weeks. The read-more-a-thon will conclude at the end of book week. (Week 5)

Interschools Snowsports Competition
The 2019 Interschools was another great event, we had 3 children represent St Thomas Mores this year;
Ruby Kenny - Division 5
Cooper Kenny - Division 6
Jett van Engelen Division 6
Cooper unfortunately sustained concussion the morning of the Division 6 event and was taken to the Medic in Perisher who advised no skiing for 2 days, so he joined the cheer squad on the sideline.
Ruby raced in two events, the Alpine GS and the Skier X doing well in both events placed in the midfield out of 60 skiers. Her times improved from last year so she was very pleased with her results as are we.
Jett raced in the Alpine GS for his first time skiing two beautiful heats. He did such a good job and his smile was beaming. All skiers did such a fantastic job and I cannot be prouder of them and the efforts they put in.
We look forward to next year's event and hopefully we have some more budding skiers join our team.
