Remembrance Day
Sonja Mingay, our DSM, has been working with students in preparation for our Remembrance Day assembly on Monday. I’d like to thank Barham Ferguson who will be addressing the students and Matt Jorgensen who will be reading The Peace Prayer. The assembly will be held at 9:00am. As always, parents are very welcome to join us. Our STM Choir will also be visiting the Southern Cross apartments to sing at their Remembrance Day event.
Centred in Learning Gathering
This Friday we will affirm students for their contributions to our community, their effort and successes. All welcome – Holy Faith Hall at 9am.
Yours sincerely,
Julie Wiley
Principal
Today our Founding members of the Tiny Tommies group went to visit the senior citizens at Southern Cross Care Apartments. This is a voluntary group of Year 2 and 3 students who meet at lunch times to prepare for this community service. The children read stories they had written themselves to their senior buddies who were most impressed and delighted to listen to their creative ideas. They were fabulous representatives of St Thomas More's School. We look forward to our next visit in 3 weeks.
